Münstermann receives Technical Innovation Award and Personality Award

The Global Insulation Conference is a key annual industry meeting for manufacturers, plant engineers, and technology leaders in the global mineral wool industry. This year, Münstermann was also represented by a team from sales and business development: Christian Hautkappe and Pascal Kubis (New Plant Sales), Jonas Drees (Technical Service Sales), and Alexander Hajek (Business Development) participated as delegates.

This year, Münstermann was delighted to receive two special honors. In an open vote, the conference participants awarded him both the Global Insulation Technical Award as well as the Global Insulation Personality of the Year Award to Münstermann or to Christian Hautkappe.

With the Global Insulation Technical Award Münstermann's contribution to the further development of mineral wool production was recognized. The focus was particularly on the innovative solution for the electrification of hardening furnaces.
Electrical heating of the process air is a challenge in this environment, as heating coils are heavily burdened by high levels of fouling. Münstermann has developed a patented solution for this, enabling the reliable operation of electrically driven hardening furnaces while simultaneously offering a high degree of process stability.

This technology is already being used successfully by several customers and demonstrates the importance that Münstermann places on innovation and technical depth.

In addition to the technical award, Christian Hautkappe personally received the Global Insulation Personality of the Year AwardThis award recognizes exceptional commitment and close collaboration with customers and partners in the industry.

The awards underscore Münstermann's position as one of the most important suppliers to the mineral wool industry. With a broad portfolio – including hardening furnaces, fiber collection belts, fiber collection drums and other systems for fiber forming and finishing – as well as a strong focus on innovation, Münstermann sets standards in process technology.

Close collaboration with customers, a commitment to technical excellence, and the desire to solve complex challenges such as the electrification of process heat characterize the company's daily work.

Münstermann will participate in the Global Insulation Conference again next year. In 2026, the event will bring the industry to Dublin – and Münstermann is already looking forward to the renewed exchange.
