Practical experience: Students from JAS Ostbevern build a metal table together with Münstermann trainees.

On July 14th and 15th, Münstermann welcomed nine students from JAS Ostbevern as part of the project days. Unlike a traditional school visit, the young people were able to choose their preferred project from various practical projects offered by regional companies. Some specifically opted to build a metal table in our production facility.

The aim of the project days was to give young people practical experience and introduce them to various career fields. For Münstermann, this offered an opportunity to provide an authentic insight into the training and daily work in metal processing.

Under the guidance of our trainees, welding, grinding, and assembly took place. The students were able to take on many of the work steps themselves and complete the metal table together, step by step.

The focus was not only on the finished product, but above all on working together, trying out new tasks, and direct interaction with our trainees. They provided firsthand accounts of their training and supported the young people throughout the entire project.

The joint project is impressive: a high-quality metal table has been created for the break area of ​​JAS Ostbevern.

In addition, our trainees have prepared various interactive stations.

The students were able to demonstrate their skills on a crane course and a skills course with the sweeper machine, while also gaining further impressions of everyday work life at Münstermann.

This resulted in a diverse program that made the variety of activities in our company tangible in a practical way.

For Münstermann, collaboration with regional schools is an important part of promoting young talent. Projects like this give young people a realistic insight into technical professions and show how diverse and exciting vocational training in skilled trades can be.
