Start of the ECO-iL-DRY research project: More efficient drying of battery foils through a laser hybrid process

The ECO-iL-DRY research project marks the start of a three-year development initiative aimed at significantly increasing the efficiency of drying battery films. Funded by the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) through the Climate and Transformation Fund, a strong consortium is developing an intelligent laser hybrid process. Münstermann is one of the most important suppliers to the mineral wool industry – and this was confirmed once again at this year's Global Insulation Conference. To meet the growing demand, the production at Kibitzpohl expanded with an additional production hall.The new hall offers state-of-the-art manufacturing conditions and additional capacity for the construction of complex systems. In summer 2025 the first machines for Münstermann's customers could be manufactured here– a further step in the continuous development of the site and a clear commitment to production “Made in Germany”.

With the founding of the subsidiary Muenstermann USA Inc.Münstermann strengthened its presence in North America to better serve customers in the USA and Canada. The initial focus was on Sales and Service, with the aim of gradually adapting the offerings to the needs of the market. Supported by the Expertise from over 350 employeesand more than 50 years of project experienceMuenstermann USA, based in Germany, is ideally positioned to successfully implement demanding plant projects in North America as well.

Acquisition of the company Neotechnik

With effect from September 1, 2015 , Bernd Münstermann GmbH & Co. KG acquired all business activities of NEOTECHNIK GmbH from Bielefeld. Following Neotechnik's relocation to the Münstermann site in Telgte, this represents the next strategic step. The aim was to unite technology leadership in thermal process engineering, material handling and air pollution control under one roof. to bring them together under one roof.
All products and employees from Neotechnik were taken over, ensuring that customers would be continously served by their familiar contacts – now with the added benefit of receiving tailor-made, complete solutions from a single source at Münstermann.
